Five Point Guards The Houston Rockets Should Consider Pursuing

In seven seasons, D.J. Augustin has played for six different NBA teams. Hopefully, the Rockets can make that seven. I love how Augustin plays (similar to Aaron Brooks). His strengths lie within his decision making, quickness and shooting ability.

He’s a better spot-up shooter than one who creates off the dribble. But, as we witnessed this season, Houston’s point guards are allowed a great deal of open jumpers due to the distraction Harden possesses. And again, Augustin can get to the rim and extract responsibility from Harden. He hasn’t truly been tested in a West Coast offense but I can only imagine that his genre of basketball would benefit in it.
