Jason Terry just finished his 15th NBA season, his first with the Rockets and I’d say it went better than he planned. “The Jet” was one of a few players with championship experience that helped the Rockets get to where they did.
Terry was just asked to do his job during the regular season, shoot three’s, spread the court and play defense. Once Patrick Beverley‘s season ended due to a wrist injury, Terry was forced to step up and play bigger and more crucial minutes.
He started every single game for Houston in the playoffs, all 17. He made big shots when they counted and kept the Rockets rolling when they would catch fire, primarily against the Clippers in the second round.
Terry will be 38 by the start of next season and will be un-restricted free agent before the season starts. Houston seems to have plans to go other ways with their point guards for next year, but it would be smart to keep his number on speed dial.
