Restricted: F: Mirza Teletovic, C: Jerome Jordan

Early Termination Option: F: Thaddeus Young

Player Option: F/G: Alan Anderson , C: Brook Lopez

The Nets wasted zero time once the clock struck midnight getting their two main assets locked up. Reportedly Lopez will ink a 3 year $60 million dollar deal and Thad Young will receive a 4 year $50 million dollar deal. With these deals in place the Nets will now need to turn their attention to Teletovic who should receive some interest of his own on the open market.

Notably Anderson is the type of player that old school coaches love (see Raptors Dwane Casey) as he will always bring energy and offers some size on the defensive end, though not always great defense. Coach Lionel Hollins used him fairly frequently in Brooklyn , so it will be interesting to see if they try to entice his return. If not he’s a serviceable reserve who lots of teams will look at, they just won’t be offering large contracts. He shot close to 35% from behind the arc in the regular season, but with the same minutes increased that to 62.5% in the post season. In other words, he’s the type of player who shows up in big games.
