SIGNED: F: Kevin Love signed a 5 year deal worth $110 million with an option in the last year, F: Tristan Thompson took advantage of his great post season and locked in for 5 years at $80 million and G: Iman Shumpert agreed to a 4 year $40 million offer.

Now the question is when exactly is LeBron James  going to lock in? It’s odd that the Cavaliers have gone about ensuring they have all the key players in place yet the king has still to lock in. Apparently he won’t be signing any time soon as twitter reports he’s gone on vacation with his good friend Dwyane Wade in the Bahamas.

OFFERED: The Cavs also extended a qualifying offer to Matthew Dellavedova, who is said to be close to reaching agreement of a deal between $3 to $5 million a year.

TEAM OPTION: The team also locked in Timofey Mozgov by exercising their option on his contract

PLAYER OPTION: As I highlighted the other day, apparently J.R. Smith “forgot” to opt in and now sits in free agency. I wonder if this is the reason James is holding out, but it’s reasonable to assume Cleveland might not resign him. Meanwhile Mike Miller did exercise his option with the team.

UNDECIDED: F: James Jones, F: Shawn Marion, C: Kendrick Perkins

Of the undecided players Marion is expected to retire and there’s been no news on Jones. Word that Doc Rivers may want to sign Perkins had some shaking their heads, but with Pierce inking a deal with Doc who likewise had brought in Big Baby Davis it’s not unfamiliar territory for Rivers who seems to like resigning  players he’s previously worked with. Perhaps he feels having the Truth and Perk on the team will help instill a championship mindset after the Clips complete implosion versus the Rockets this season.
