NBA Free Agency Update-Atlantic Division

SIGNED:  Jae Crowder agrees to 5 years at $35M, Jonas Jerebko  agrees to 2 year $10M and picked up Amir Johnson from Toronto for 2 years $24M

UNDETERMINED:  Gigi Datome, Brandon Bass

Boston Celtics get an immediate upgrade over Brandon Bass with Amir Johnson and a quality locker room guy. He does all the things stats sheets don’t show, but should end up being a fan favorite for the knowledgeable fan base.

On a personally note, I understand why Raptor GM Masai Ujiri let him slide, but it’s always hard to see your favorite player leave a team. He just turned 28 and has ten years in the league being the last high school prospect to be drafted before the rules changed.

RFA Jae Crowder has reached agreement on a five-year, $35 million deal with the Boston Celtics, league sources tell RealGM.

I'm told it's 50/50 whether Gigi Datome will return to the NBA or play overseas. It's going to be a matter of fit, not $. He wants to play.

8 teams have inquired about Brandon Bass, #Celtics were not on that list but may be concentrating in more pressing needs.
