While Anthony Davis wasn’t a free agent the priority of the Pelican’s off season was locking down their franchise cornerstone in a $145 million dollar 5 year contract extension.

Next up they came to terms with their starting center Omer Asik   in a 5 year $60 million dollar deal. A

Omer Asik is finalizing a five-year, $60M deal to return to the New Orleans Pelicans, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Also of note New Orleans dealt with another front court player Alexis Ajinca who the team locked up to a 4 year, $20 million deal:

Initially the Pelicans extended qualifying offers to both Jeff Withey and Norris Cole, but subsequently rescinded their offer to Withey.

The other Pelicans still awaiting decisions on their future are G: Jimmer Fredette, F: Luke Babbitt and F: Dante Cunningham
