Summer League Day 1

NBA Vegas Summer League has expanded to include 3 separate tournaments now with Orlando hosting one, Utah another but the big Kahuna where 24 teams participate is the Las Vegas tournament.

Each of the past few seasons the crowds are growing and now it’s commonplace for each of the participating teams to have their stars on site to support their Summer League teams and also work out with them.

Last year the game with  Andrew Wiggins versus Jabari Parker drew a huge crowd, but I’ve noticed this season the crowds are relatively packed for all the games.

Friday offered 5 games with the Rockets playing the D-League Select team.  While Houston was short handed they still managed to win and posted the only game that broke the century mark in points winning 111-104. For more details on the Rockets win check out the full article here.
