Based on my findings on Dictionary.com, perseverance can be defined as:
1. Steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
2. Theology. Continuance in a state of grace to the end, leading to eternal salvation.

There are so many examples of perseverance in our daily lives, and certainly we can find plenty of examples right here in the sports world.
Athletes work tirelessly for hours, days, months, years, and sometimes a lifetime to achieve what few others can relish in – being a champion.
Sports journalists work around the clock to bring you the goods in the hopes that they get noticed, in the hopes that the stuff they cover gets positive coverage, and perhaps in the hopes of moving on up in their industry.
But, the part that often gets overlooked is the makeup of a person outside of the workplace or outside of the public eye.
It’s for that reason I want to touch on how the perseverance of others has led to me ranting about perseverance to all of you.
For starters, let’s begin by keeping things #RedNation related.
