BIG MOVE:

Boston Celtics get an immediate upgrade over Brandon Bass with Amir Johnson and a quality locker room guy. He does all the things stats sheets don’t show, but should end up being a fan favorite for the knowledgeable fan base.

The other big roster move was trading for David Lee who along with Johnson will provide another veteran voice for the youthful core and coming off the championship can help coach Brad Stevens instill solid fundamentals and principles of a winning team.

Many felt the rookie signings weren’t major moves considering the plethora of picks Danny Ainge had at his disposal though R.J. Hunter did show a real penchant for scoring talent in the Summer League. However with many more picks in his pockets and the DeMarcus Cousins trade talk heating up again the Celtics big off season move may yet to have been made.
