Q10: What are you most excited about for this upcoming season?

Andre: The Wild West. I feel that this year we are going to have so many incredible games in the West it’s crazy. There’s talent everywhere, a lot of teams coming from behind developing the young guys, some new rivalries unraveling (DeAndre Jordan at Mavericks anyone?) new seeding system, Kobe‘s last hurrah. I just can’t wait!

For the Rockets this may turn out to be a special year because we already have an established strong team and now built around it we have super exciting young guys like Capela, McDaniels, Dekker and Harrell. It’s just too much potential and enthusiasm. I am very eager to see those guys play together, get better and develop paving the way for the Rockets to get one step closer to the title!

Anthony: For the Rockets this will be the first roster since becoming a fan that I legitimately feel like we have a chance to go all the way, it’s just a matter of health and coaching. NBA in general I really enjoy what teams like Utah, Milwaukee and Orlando are doing. The kind of mid-tier teams with no stand out super star who as a collective group get it done defensively. Also, Andrew Wiggins.

Coty: I am most excited to see how well Ty Lawson will make the Rockets this season. We have had some great seasons in the James Harden era, but now we have someone who can distribute the ball, and help Harden in the back court. I am hoping that Dwight Howard can stay healthy and reclaim his title as the league’s best big man. Other than the Rockets, I’m excited to see how much better Kevin Durant will be this season. For my second favorite team, I’m hoping that Kobe Bryant can put together one more magical season before retiring. However, I just hope my Rockets can bring home that ever elusive NBA title back to Clutch City!

  • Eric: I am excited for several things this season. First, the Rockets are a viable title contender. Second, the Western Conference will be a bloodbath this season, and it will be interesting to see how the standings play out come playoff time. Third, with Kevin Durant returning to full health, it will be interesting to see how the MVP race plays out. Also, will anyone challenge the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference? Which (if any) blockbuster trades will be done during the season? Which rookie or second year player will breakout this season? There are countless questions I have going in to the 2015-2016 season and I can’t wait for it to start!

John: For the Rockets, its seeing what this team can do to follow up last season’s run to the Western Conference Finals. How well will this team play with the addition of Ty Lawson? As for the rest of the NBA, I’m just so excited that it’s back. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the Western Conference shapes up this season as its always a tough and exciting race to the playoffs. With the Spurs reloading with the addition of LaMarcus Aldridge and fully healthy OKC team. The top should be crowded with title contenders. Lets get stated today!

Joshua: The Rockets current roster may be the deepest roster they have ever had. Not even the championship rosters were this deep. That being said, the roster won’t remain this deep forever. The next couple of years will likely be the Rockets best opportunity to win a championship for years to come. The sooner the better.

Trey: I am excited to see Houston back to their winning ways, McHale is a great coach and I want to see him coach this team to an NBA title. Ready to see the rookies, new jerseys, Lawson, Thornton and the atmosphere in Houston around basketball season.

Tamberlyn: Anyone who knows me recognizes I have an abnormally obsessive relationship with basketball, so the season just returning is a big plus in my books. Having said that, this season presents more story lines than usual to peak my interest. In no particular order and in tribute to the retirement of David Letterman here’s my Top 10 things to look forward to this 2015-16 NBA Season:

    1. Ty Lawson find success on and off the court
    2. Return of Kevin Durant and a fully healthy season
    3. Young teams rising: Magic, Jazz, T-Wolves
    4. Firsts of the year… first big trade, first coach fired, first Thursday Night TNT show where Sir Charles butchers “Who He Play For”
    5. Boogie Cousins finding his place in the Association (I think he’ll need to leave Sacramento for that to happen)
    6. Potential for the most exciting Rookie of Year race in years
    7. The Wild, Wild West … I mean seriously THIS is going to be one crazy Western Conference race.
    8. Rising Canadians, be prepared NBA fans Jamal Murray is next and Rowan Barrett Jr. isn’t that far off! (side note: please let Canada get one of the three FIBA Qualifying tourny’s so they can win an Olympic berth to atone for that TERRIBLE call vs. Venezuela).
    9. All-Star Game in Toronto… and Canada voting Andrew Wiggins in as a starter!
    10. Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors both improving upon last season
