Clutch City fans will never forget the evening of May 14th when facing elimination the Houston Rockets went on a  49-18 run in their comeback win at the Staples Center to force Game 7 of the Western Conference Semi Finals.  Fair to say the Clippers haven’t forgotten either, even adding 2 players from that team to this season’s roster and arguably the man who led that comeback – Josh Smith.

Sitting on 3 days rest the Clippers have been waiting for this night and will no doubt want to send a message to their fans and the Houston Rockets on what that loss meant to them.

In an unfortunate schedule twist the Rockets arrive having played last night and with a depleted front court. The question is can the Rockets who are on a 3-game win streak withstand the initial 5 minutes of an assuredly loud Staples Center and Clipper squad intent on revenge? If James Harden and his band of brothers accomplish that first feat watch for tonight to take on the tone of a playoff game.
