Power Forward: Blake Griffin versus Trevor Ariza

Trevor Ariza continues to be the best 2-way player on the squad. While everyone is extolling on how difficult it’s been for Harden to adapt to Lawson’s addition and subsequent change in his role I find it curious the same hasn’t been considered for Ariza. Moving from small to power forward means Trevor is dealing with men who are routinely 50 pounds heavier and having to battle in the paint. Of these opponents Griffin presents a handful for Ariza since he offers offensive versatility in and out of the paint and is a physical specimen.

Edge: Blake Griffin  Mark this one down in your calendars folks because anyone who knows me/follows me is aware Griffin is my least favorite NBA player. I tire of watching his dirty play and flopping for fouls, breaking noses and still getting trips to the line. Suffice to say I’m NOT a fan, but to expect Ariza to out perform him is unrealistic. Having said that, I couldn’t resist posting the above vine of Warriors Festus Ezeli blocking him earlier this week. Watch Griffin immediately turn to the ref looking for the call
