After signing a deal worth somewhere around 200 million with Adidas this summer, James Harden and the Houston Rockets have gotten off to a slow start. While Harden has started to pick up the pace, averaging about 30 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds per game, the Rockets continue to struggle with a 7-11 record.
If the Rockets hope to improve, Harden will have to start being a better leader. Harden’s effort at times has been disappointing to say the least. It is up to Harden to remind the league that he is worth the 200 million paid to him by Adidas.
In an Adidas promo that dropped this morning, Harden is featured greeting fans, wearing a cowboy hat, hooping, and brushing off critics. Other than the fact that Harden’s voice over is a Dr. Seuss quote, the commercial looks pretty clean, and reminds Houston fans of better days.

Everybody knows Harden is a great player, but hopefully he can live up to the sentiment expressed in the commercial by becoming a better leader.
