Trevor Ariza Injures Back – Leaves Game, Won’t Return

By Tamberlyn Richardson

Last time the Houston Rockets played the Brooklyn Nets they lost on their home court of the Toyota Center so hopes were to avenge that loss tonight in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.  Regardless of how the game turns out the Rockets will leave New York with more causalities then they arrived with following a terrible fall by Trevor Ariza in the first quarter.

At 8:19 of the first quarter small forward Trevor Ariza drove to the basket to make a lay-up but his feet were taken out from under him and he was unable to brace for the fall.

With his legs in the air he fell backwards to the ground hitting his back hard. At the time there was also concern he had hurt his wrist since he tried to put his arms down awkwardly to soften the fall.
