NBA Power Ranking Lists: How Pundits Rank Houston Rockets Week 8

By Tamberlyn Richardson

The lists for week 8 of the 2015-16 season in the books and with that the new NBA Power Ranking lists are out, so lets take a look at where the Houston Rockets were ranked.

In Week 8 the Houston Rockets got a split result losing their first two games on the road at Denver and Sacramento and then beat both Los Angeles teams to finish the week 2-2.

Next up the Rockets begin a tough stretch of schedule with the surprising Charlotte Hornets Monday, Dwight Howard returns to Orlando on Wednesday, are one of the 5 Christmas day games versus San Antonio and finish a back to back set versus the Pelicans on Boxing Day.

Here’s the updated NBA Power Ranking Lists of how the pundits rank the Houston Rockets for week eight:

John Schuhmann of drops the Rockets despite their big win over the Clippers. Full week 8 list.  Like many of us Schuhmann is confused on who Bickerstaff will use up front now that Motiejunas has returned. The 4-some of Howard, Capela, Jones and DeMo is still fluid as the latter gets back into a groove however Bickerstaff has continued to use 2 centers to start games.

Matt Moore of CBS has been one of the most impressed by the Rockets even with them not displaying consistency. He drops them 2 spots this week, but says he’ll vault them upward if they garner some solid wins versus their tough 4 game schedule this week. Complete list.

Marc Stein ESPN  Stein holds the Rockets steady at 15 and points out how they are improving, but also notes the question we all want to know: HOW Houston lost 5 games to Denver and Brooklyn? Full List.

That wraps up the National Media NBA Power Ranking Lists for Week 8 of the season. My list will be up later this week. What are your thoughts on how the pundits ranked the Rockets? Let us know in the comments section below.
