Houston Rockets Trade Rumors: Knicks turned down deal for Patrick Beverley

Sheridan Hoops reports Houston Rockets offered to trade Patrick Beverley to New York, but Knicks declined.
Following the Houston Rockets Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton trade to the Detroit Pistons, Brian Windhorst tweeted Morey was actively gauging interest on Patrick Beverley.
As it turns out there was an actual deal offered by the Houston Rockets GM to the New York Knicks, but they declined. Sheridan Hoops writer Michael Scotto was the first to report the actual deal was Morey seeking a first round pick as well as 2 rotation players.
Sources: Knicks turned down a Rockets offer of Patrick Beverley. Asking price of a first-round pick and two rotation players was too high.

In hindsight this means the Rockets who’ve traded 2 players now were actively shopping at least 3 more. I still think Morey was looking to amass a horde of picks and rotation players to make a block buster trade, but was unsuccessful. Perhaps he’s earned a new nickname instead of ‘Trader Daryl’ since it appears he was highly unsuccessful with almost all his endeavors.
