With a win tonight, the Houston Rockets can clinch the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

In their final game of the regular season, the Houston Rockets can claim a Western Conference playoff spot with a win over the Sacramento Kings.

Considering the Kings will be resting key players, it seems like an easy enough task for the Rockets. That being said, if there’s anything we know about the 2015-2016 Houston Rockets, it is that their ability to underperform has no limits.

Before the season started, I would have never imagined that the Rockets would sit a game below .500, fighting for their playoff lives during their final game of the regular season.

Unfortunately, that’s the kind of season it has been. What began as a poor start that led to the firing of former Rockets head coach Kevin McHale, ultimately turned into one of the most disappointing NBA seasons of all time.

At every corner, Houston fans figured the Rockets would eventually figure things out, and return to being the team that played deep into the playoffs a year ago. For whatever reason, it just never happenned.

Let's go Houston! It's a Rockets tradition to take out Utah.

The good news is that the Rockets’ 2015-2016 regular season will be over with after tonight. Whether they are to make the playoffs or not, in some sense, tomorrow will offer the Rockets a fresh start. Should they watch the playoffs from home, or should they face the record breaking Warriors in the first round, the Rockets’ disastrous 2015-2016 regular season will be behind them.

Watch the Houston Rockets as they take on the Sacramento Kings in their final game of the regular season tonight. If you’ve stood by the Rockets’ side this deep into the season, let out a sigh of relief. You’ve earned it. It will all be over come tomorrow.
