As the never ending search for a new Head Coach continues for the Houston Rockets  serious candidates continue to be scooped up.

Stephen Silas the Associate Head Coach of the Charlotte Hornets was interviewed last week along with Raptors Associate Coach Rex Kalamian. While Kalamian is still actively working given the Raptors just evened the Eastern Conference Finals, Silas is now interviewing with the Golden State Warriors to fill the lead Assistant position of Luke Walton who is leaving for L.A.

Sam Robinson of Today’s Fastbreak reports that Golden State is keen on hiring one of Silas or Portland’s Nate Tibbetts.

"Both traveled to Oklahoma City for Monday-night meetings with Warriors officials in an effort to accelerate the hiring process. Silas, though, is also up for the Rockets’ head-coaching position, and Tibbetts interviewed for the Memphis Grizzlies’ head job earlier this month. The Blazers have also been granted permission to meet with Silas about becoming their top assistant. This makes the Rockets’ decision time-sensitive."

Silas underwent a second interview in Houston, but he has strong ties to Golden State and Stephen Curry specifically. With Houston seemingly dragging their feet are the Rockets getting to a point where their indecision may actually cost them the candidate they want?
