Houston Rockets Rumors: Is Andrew Bogut H-Town Bound?

As he hits free agency, is Andrew Bogut on his way to join the Houston Rockets?
The trade deadline may be over, but it has not stopped teams from upgrading their rosters, inducing the Houston Rockets. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Rockets are reportedly interested in acquiring Andrew Bogut in the coming days.
The former number one overall pick is expecting a buyout from the 76ers following a trade that sent him to Philadelphia for Nerlens Noel.
The Houston Rockets intend to pursue Andrew Bogut — but not Deron Williams — in the upcoming buyout market, league sources tell ESPN.

With the news of his potential release, Houston has become one of the several teams (Cavaliers and Warriors) who are in pursuit of the Australian big man.
Believe it or not, Bogut would be a perfect for the undersized Rockets. He would not make much of a difference offensively, but he could certainly help on the defensive end. That’s something the Rockets are in need of heading down the stretch.

Standing 7’0” and weighing 260 pounds, the Rockets would no longer be undersized in the low post with Bogut on board. He has established himself as a reliable rebounder and shot blocker who can protect the paint in Houston.
And for a team who is ranked 24th in opponents’ points per game, the Rockets need all the defensive help they can get.
Now, this will mark the second time that Houston has had their eyes set on acquiring Bogut. In their first attempt, Bogut turned Houston’s offer down because he did not like the Rockets culture.
In 26 games for the Dallas Mavericks, Bogut averaged 3.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks this season.
