James Harden is the star of Travis Scott’s music video for “Way Back,” and things get a little weird.
Travis Scott is a proud fan of James Harden and the Houston Rockets. He attends games regularly and has even designed a t-shirt for the team. His latest tribute to the Beard comes in the form of his new “Way Back” music video.
WAY BACK VIDEO. I DID THIS FOR A PROJECT I DID IN HOUSTON A WHILE AGO. HERE U GO. https://t.co/17PWgHj7ks

The song is only four and a half minutes long, but the music video spans over seven minutes. For the first half of the video, there’s no music. James Harden is seen listening to critics on television and then blocks it out by going to the gym to play against himself. Not too strange.

The weirdness begins with the music. For the first half of the song section of the video, it’s pretty much just Harden hanging upside down mouthing the lyrics to the song. He’s surrounded by a myriad of activities, ranging from cheerleaders cheering to people jumping rope. It’s interesting to say the least.
After a couple minutes of that, it switches gears. For the rest of the video, Travis Scott is seen riding in the back of a convertible while he sings the song.
The video was directed by Scott himself, but no explanation is given to artistic choices for the song. Not really a problem though. I’ll take my favorite player hanging upside down while he mouths lyrics any day over this silliness.
