Kevin Love

When the Cavaliers were unable to retain LeBron James, it signaled that they are about to start a rebuild. It has been rumored that they would like to trade Kevin Love for some future assets, now.

It has also been rumored that the Cavs would prefer to keep Love. I don’t understand that, as they will be mediocre with him as opposed to full out tanking if they trade him. If they do decide to look at offers for the All-Star, the Rockets should be calling.

We talked about the possibility of adding K-Love in a post the other day, but now it seems more necessary. He would bring some added star power to the team and is an elite scorer and rebounder when in the right situation.

He’s been injury prone at times, but the Rockets should be willing to take that risk. They went after Chris Paul, after all, even after his injury woes.

A deal involving Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, Ryan Anderson & some first round picks wouldn’t be the best offer Cleveland could get, but it wouldn’t be a bad one by any means. I don’t expect the Rockets to do this, but you never know with the desire to stay competitive with the Warriors.
