Jimmy Butler

Here is the big one. A trade for Jimmy Butler would be absolutely perfect for the Houston Rockets. It also might be, might be, actually realistic.

Jimmy Buckets, the Houston-area native, would be a great fit in Houston. He’d start alongside Harden and Paul and would create one of the best two-way teams in the league. He isn’t the best 3-point shooter, but he actually shot about the same from that distance last year as Trevor Ariza shot in his Rockets career (around 35%).

Jimmy is also upset with the Timberwolves organization. He doesn’t like the immaturity from some of their young players. Butler and Paul could fit in together on and off the court as both are hardworking and intense leaders.

The trade would look similar to the one for Kevin Love. Gordon, Anderson, Tucker & some first rounders would be a decent offer to give Minnesota, a team still looking to be in the playoffs next season. It would allow KAT to stay in control of the offense and for Andrew Wiggins to continue to grow as a player. They might not want Ryno, though, and for good reason with that contract.

If this trade were to happen, the Rockets would be right back in the thick of the championship chase. They’re already there, but getting Jimmy back to his hometown would be absolutely incredible.
