James Harden – 96

After an absolutely amazing 2016-17 campaign, James Harden did the impossible and got even better. The Beard averaged a league-leading 30.4 points, along with 5.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists. He also re-committed himself to the defensive end of the floor and led the Rockets to a league-best 65 wins. That was enough to earn Harden his first MVP Award, which was long overdue.

Harden started off the year with a 95 rating in 2K18. However, 2K bumped his rating up to 96 overall after he started to run away with the MVP. Like every year, LeBron will have the highest rating in the game at 98. With that in mind, expect NBA 2K to give Harden a 96 rating in NBA 2K19.

Chris Paul – 91

Chris Paul proved all of the doubters wrong by not only fitting in with the Rockets, but thriving. The nine-time All-Star averaged 18.6 points and 7.9 assists per game last season. He also averaged a career-high 2.5 made 3-pointers per game. The Rockets were a staggering 44-5 last season when both Harden and Paul started together. The Rockets were also perhaps a healthy Paul hamstring away from winning their first NBA championship in over two decades.

Last year, CP3 started off the year with a 91 overall rating. When he missed the first few weeks of the season with an injury, his rating dropped to 88. After his return, Paul’s rating teetered between 91 and 90 before settling at 90 at the end of the season. All things considered, Paul didn’t show many signs of decline last year and he should get a 91 rating in NBA 2K19.
