The Houston Rockets, and many players on the team, are heading into the season surrounded by a flurry of questions. Here are four Rockets players that have something to prove next season.

The Houston Rockets had a fairly disappointing offseason in the eyes of many. Sure, they retained Chris Paul and Clint Capela, but they lost two of their top four perimeter defenders. James Ennis is solid on defense, but Houston has yet to adequately address their need for wing defenders.

As for Brandon Knight and Michael Carter-Williams, well, they’re wild cards. Both have played solid basketball in the past, but both have also been disappointing in recent seasons, which is a bad sign in a “what have you done for me lately” type of league.

And all eyes will be on Carmelo Anthony, who is coming off of the most disappointing season of his career in Oklahoma City. Many Rockets fans didn’t even want the team to sign Anthony for a minimum deal, even though he is one of the best scorers of his generation.

In order for the Rockets to “Run It Back” next season, many of the players are going to have to play with some fire. They need to approach the season like they really have serious championship aspirations. Many think that Houston’s chances at winning a ring are slimmer than they were a year ago. The Rockets have something to prove, and they have to play like it. Lets get started.
