3) Diversify His Options, Offensively

We are all aware of Houston’s philosophy when it comes to their style of offense. However, since the addition of CP3 last year, Houston has opened up their shot selection to include the mid-range jump-shot and players like him and Gerald Green will benefit from this.

A whopping 72% of Green’s FGA were from behind the arc. With a redistribution of his shot selection to focus on the left corner 3 as well as to incorporate the mid-range jump-shot (46% FG% on 39 attempts), the Rockets would be maximizing his strengths which will lead to more success for the team going forward.

Gerald Green is in for a great season in Houston. He had a great second half of the year in 2018 after being signed by the Rockets around that point and should continue that success in the D’Antoni offense. We can’t wait to watch him work in a full season!
