3 things the Rockets can do to increase chances at winning a championship

NBA Training Camps are set to open in just a few days, and while it is only September, there are many things the Rockets can do throughout the season so that they can have a higher chance at advancing farther into the postseason and finally winning their third championship in franchise history.

We’re less than a month away from the start of the regular season and just days out from the start of training camp. This year will be quite unique for the Rockets.

Just last May, they were up 3-2 against the defending champion Warriors. Unfortunately, a pulled hamstring and an uncommonly cold shooting night in Game 7 eliminated Houston from playoff contention.

There’s no doubt in the Rockets mind that if they would’ve made the Finals, the 2018 championship trophy would be sitting in Toyota Center right now. No team in the east could match up with the top two squads in the west. Although, this year, both the Western Conference and Eastern Conference look a lot stronger, at least at the top.

If the Rockets want to run it back and appear in the Finals, they’ll need to make some strategic decisions throughout the season. Let’s take a look at three things the Rockets can do to increase their odds at winning a championship.
