December really is an awesome month. It’s right after Thanksgiving, with Christmas and New Years Eve on the tail end of the month. Everyone is spending extra time with family and friends and it’s a month of giving. December is also a good time to watch Houston Rockets basketball.

The Rockets ended their four game slide with a blowout win over the Spurs to close out November. They followed that up with another blowout victory over the rebuilding Chicago Bulls.

With Chris Paul, Gerald Green and Nene back in the lineup, the Rockets look like a deeper, more confident team. Each player’s role is more defined, and the team’s youngest players are playing less minutes, which we all can agree is a good thing.

The Rockets are now 10-4 when James Harden and Chris Paul are in the lineup. Houston has shown flashes of that elite team we saw a year ago when they’re healthy. If the Rockets can keep their main guys on the floor, they should have the best month of the season in December.
