Center depth

The Rockets hit a home run with the signing of Kenneth Faried. He is an energy-filled center that will back up Clint Capela once he returns from injury. Those two can bring plenty of pick-and-roll action all game long that will be very annoying for the opponents.

However, neither Capela nor Faried have a ton of height. Capela is 6’9 and Faried is 6’8. Capela plays bigger than he is with his wingspan, but it would be nice to add another center for some depth and potential matchups.

Robin Lopez and Marcin Gortat are two options for the Rockets. Lopez is a 7-footer and Gortat is 6’11 and big. Either one of the two could help out the team in matchups against some of the bigger centers in the league and could provide some rebounding as well off the bench.

Neither of these guys are really that exciting to think about, but they could be nice to have on the team. Center depth is never something you can have enough of, especially with an aging Nene.
