Houston Rockets: 3 things to watch in this year’s Summer League

New guys
There are two exciting new prospects in particular that Rockets fans should be excited to watch. These two guys went undrafted but were quickly scooped up by Houston, who was without a draft pick this year.
The first guy is Shamorie Ponds out of St. John’s. He is a dynamic guard who has some serious potential to be a role player for the Rockets at some point. He’ll look to impress during the Summer League and get either a roster or G League spot.
The next player is another guard, Chris Clemons out of Campbell. Though he is small (5’9), he can seriously score the basketball and is the third-leading scorer in the history of NCAA Division I. The Rockets will really like this guy and he should be exciting to watch.
These two guys alone should be worth the watch throughout the Summer League as they look to secure a spot with the Rockets. Will they live up to the hype that fans have given them or not exceed expectations?
