Rockets fans can officially start circling dates on their calendars now that the full 2019-20 schedule has been released. There are no shortage of marquee games this year with rivalries, familiar faces making returns, and national TV blockbusters. Here are twelve dates to keep free for Rockets basketball.

MVP races, playoff rivalries, and constant player movement are three major factors which have created several captivating matchups for the Rockets going into this season. As the James Harden era in Houston is at its peak, so too are the rivalries that have been born along the way; it comes as no surprise that 38 of Houston’s games will be shown on national TV.

Recently, the Rockets were projected to finish first in the NBA in wins by ESPN, even over the talented teams in LA and over the Milwaukee Bucks. Houston’s matchups against Western Conference foes like Golden State, the LA Lakers and the LA Clippers will be must-watch television and could be a preview of a playoff series.

Some of these matchups will have the power to help determine playoff standings, home-court advantage and even the outcome of the MVP race.

We’ll break down Houston’s best matchups in three different stages: early season, mid-season and late season. Grab your diary, a pen, and mark down the following dates to keep free.
