Houston Rockets’ owner Tilman Fertitta had a lot to say earlier in the week on ESPN’s First Take.

Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta appeared on ESPN’s First Take with Molly Qerim-Rose, Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman to talk about his new book “Shut Up and Listen” in addition to talk, of course, about the Rockets. If you’ve not had the opportunity to view it, the interview is provided below as courtesy of ESPN’s NBA on ESPN Youtube channel.

Since Fertitta covered a wide-range of topics, we decided to break up his interview into two articles and you can catch the first one here. In part one, we expand on Fertitta’s thoughts on his ownership style, Mike D’Antoni’s contract situation and his expectations for next season.

Between the back court chemistry of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, Westbrook’s ability to push the pace in transition, last season’s MVP race and Harden’s playoff reputation, there is a lot here to dissect. So I’ll discuss several of his points individually. Let’s get started!
