How the Rockets match up on offense

The Houston Rockets match up well with every team on offense, which is a given considering they have James Harden, the league’s best offensive player. They also added Russell Westbrook, who is a great scorer and playmaker, and the team managed to retain the rest of their core players from last season, other than Chris Paul, of course.

The Lakers lost Lonzo Ball, who is one of the league’s best defensive point guards. However, the additions of Anthony Davis, a Defensive Player of the Year level defender, along with Danny Green and Avery Bradley should make this Lakers team much better defensively this season.

However, Westbrook’s speed in the open floor and Harden’s elite iso offense will put up a lot of points on the board for the Houston Rockets against almost any team. Expect Houston to run a lot of pick-and-rolls to target players with slow foot speed, such as JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard and Jared Dudley.

The Lakers will be an above average defensive team next season, but they aren’t going to slow down James Harden and the Houston Rockets.
