Houston Rockets: 3 goals for Chris Clemons this season

1. Average 10 points per game
Clemons seems like a lock to average double figures in scoring, as he has the ability to score at will. During his college career, Clemons averaged 24.8 points per game, and during the preseason he averaged 10.8 points per game on a limited 14.6 minutes per game. Clemons has the ability to shoot the deep ball without limits and also is a pure scorer as well.
The Rockets will surely want a reserve guard to average double figures in scoring, as they didn’t have that last season after moving Eric Gordon to the starting lineup due to D’Antoni’s love for the small ball rotation. Clemons could very well be the one to change this trend, as he scored double figures in two of the Rockets’ five preseason games. In addition, he scored nine points in two of the other games as well, which bodes well for his ability to score 10 points or more this season.
Clemons can play with or without the ball, as he can thrive in a catch and shoot offense or he can easily set himself up for his own shots. The Rockets easily got a steal in Clemons, as he’s essentially a walking bucket and doesn’t even need Harden or Westbrook to find him open looks.
Next. 3 goals for Ben McLemore this season
Aside from Danuel House, Clemons is the only other player on the Rockets’ bench who is a pure scorer and will be able to light up the scoreboard. What will help is the fact that Clemons will have the green light to take shots, as the Rockets will need his contributions on the offensive end.
