3. Make 100 or more 3-pointers this season

McLemore has averaged 3.4 3-point attempts per game over the course of his career, and that number will surely spike this season due to the Rockets’ style of play. Nearly half of McLemore’s shot attempts have come from distance, so he already is used to taking threes at will, which is likely why the Rockets signed him in the first place.

As McLemore is a stellar 3-point shooter, the Rockets will want him taking that shot without hesitation, especially considering the fact that he’ll be open most of the time with how teams will defend Westbrook and Harden.

It goes without saying, but the more McLemore shoots threes, the more he’ll make them. He’s only made 100 or more 3-pointers once in his six-year career, and his ability to accomplish this goal will be heavily tied to playing time.

If McLemore can find his way into coach Mike D’Antoni‘s rotation, it’s very possible he can reach goal number 3. Houston has had at least five players make over 100 3-pointers in each of the last three years and even had seven players accomplish this feat during the 2017-18 season.
