The Houston Rockets look to take advantage of an injury-plagued Golden State Warriors team in an early-season matchup with the Western Conference champions.

Russell Westbrook will make his return for the Houston Rockets after sitting out on Monday for rest against the Memphis Grizzlies. Houston comes off a desperately needed 107-100 win while the Golden State Warriors come off a surprising 127-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Rockets showed improved defense in Memphis while also finally getting James Harden and Eric Gordon going from the outside. At 4-3, Houston has gotten off to a slower start than expected but will be looking to build on a performance that saw Harden return back to his true MVP form.

The Warriors have been decimated by injuries dating back to last year’s NBA Finals when they lost stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson in back-to-back games. Earlier this season, Steph Curry broke his left hand, ruling him out for the foreseeable future as well. In the absence of all four of their stars (Draymond Green also had a sprained left finger), Steve Kerr‘s club somehow still comes off a win in which rookie Eric Paschall scored 34 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Here’s a look at everything you need to know about Wednesday’s matchup:
