The Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers will clash in a matchup of two of the league’s hottest teams on Friday evening at the Toyota Center.
Something’s gotta give when the Indiana Pacers visit the Houston Rockets on Friday. After the Boston Celtics, the two teams have the longest active winning streaks in the NBA (Houston – five, Indiana – four).
James Harden and the Rockets are coming off an impressive 102-93 victory over the LA Clippers in which The Beard poured in 47 points on 12-of-26 from the field and 16-of-17 at the line. In doing so, Harden nudged his season scoring average up to 38.2 points per game this season.
The Indiana Pacers come off a total team effort that saw four of its five starters score 17 or more in a dominant 111-85 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. New acquisition Malcolm Brogdon is pacing Indiana with team-leading numbers of 20.7 points and 8.5 assists per game.
The game will be a first in a series of “Flashback Fridays” in which the Rockets will be celebrating their history by wearing retro jerseys.
