The Houston Rockets are riding a seven-game winning streak into Monday’s matchup with Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Houston Rockets are comfortably favored in a Monday evening matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers from the Toyota Center. After losing their season-opener, James Harden and the Rockets have won 10 of their last 12 games, including seven straight.
The Portland Trail Blazers, on the other hand, have been struggling so far in the young season. Although favored to finish the season as a playoff team, they have gone just 5-8 after 13 games. Saturday’s win against the San Antonio Spurs was desperately needed, as they had lost six of seven prior to that 121-116 victory.
Damian Lillard‘s 29.8 points per game has him at fourth in the NBA, while James Harden leads the league with a staggering 39.5 points per game. While they were extremely shorthanded and still came out victorious against Minnesota, the Rockets should have a couple of guys back for Monday’s showdown.
