The Houston Rockets look to keep up their momentum after getting vengeance on Miami when they face Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
The Houston Rockets are coming off a satisfying victory as they host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. At 12-6 and tied for the best record in the Southwest division, facing a team that has lost nine in a row should be an easy task, however, the Rockets could still be facing a tough game with some unforeseen injury circumstances.
It’s safe to say the Rockets hit their low-point of the early season when they suffered a 29-point, record-setting loss against the Miami Heat in their sixth game of the season. On Wednesday, they exorcised some of their demons by soundly defeating Mami 117-108 in front of a raucous Toyota Center crowd.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in a freefall as of late. Atlanta has lost its last nine games and 12 out of 13 overall, with their last defeat being at the hands of Domantas Sabonis and the Indiana Pacers.
Trae Young is quickly becoming one of the league’s most prolific scorers, averaging 26.7 points per game this season to go along with 8.6 assists. The Rockets’ defense will need to pay special attention to the second-year point guard, as they might be without a couple of essential components of their starting lineup.
Here is everything you need to know about Saturday’s showdown against Atlanta.
