Chris Vernon wasn't done with the Houston Rockets just yet

Vernon ended his ramblings with this kernel of wisdom.

"“What do they say? ‘The crooks run the asylum?’ Like it’s crazy. It’s crazy, they got these young guys that do whatever the hell they want. The basketball is awful, and they have so many talented young players I love– Jabari, who has really struggled, but Tari Eason, and Jalen, and Sengun, and Porter Jr.”"

Kevin O’Connor, Vernon’s Mismatch co-host and actual basketball analyst, asks, “You like all these players, so what’s the issue? The system? The coaching?”

“All of it! Dude, they have got to have some veteran players that teach these guys how to play, and have some kind of like, this is how you play winning basketball. This is just an AAU team out there. It’s stupid,” Vernon concludes.

Yes, it is stupid. Nearly every word from Chris Vernon was stupid. He watched the Rockets for part of one game and has the entire operation completely figured out.

The Rockets are bad, they do lack veterans, and the losing has been hard on everyone. However, they’ve played the most road-heavy schedule in the league and one of the toughest. Yet, through it all, they’ve steadily improved and augmented their attack to play the way Vernon suggests they don’t but should. The only Mismatch on the show is Chris Vernon and the facts.
