Houston Rockets: 2 Studs & 1 Dud against the Atlanta Hawks

Houston Rockets Stud #1: Eric Gordon
It has yet to be determined if Eric Gordon wants to be traded to a contender or if he wants a max extension. Regardless of his motivations, he has been absolutely sensational.

Gordon continued his string of excellent performances with a 32 point masterclass against the Hawks. While the Rockets' bench got them back in the game, Gordon was the lone starter to get big minutes in the fourth as they looked to close out the Hawks.
Much like Augustin, Gordon saved his best for last. In six and a half fourth-quarter minutes, he didn't miss. Gordon went three of three from the field and two of two from 3-point range and the free-throw line. His 10 points gave the Rockets' bench the little boost they needed.
Gordon didn't out duel Trae Young, Young scored 41 points, but he held his own. A 25 point performance would have still be an excellent night from Gordon, but it would have led to a Rockets' loss.
Gordon has been awesome since he was inserted into the starting lineup. When Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr get healthy, Stephen Silas is going to have some tough decisions to make. However, having too many quality players is the type of problem every coach dreams of.
