3. It is the perfect opportunity with Green out

When the Rockets drafted Christopher, it seems they were loading up on a specific type of player. Long, athletic scorers who can get to the basket and improve their outside shooting. Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. were already in that mold, and so is Christopher.

With Green now sitting out for some time, this is the perfect opportunity to supplement his play with someone similar. However, Christopher and Green’s play is not identical, but playing Porter, Green, and Christopher all at the same time could be difficult. None of them are great shot creators for others, and the offense could become stagnant.

This is the perfect opportunity for Christopher to get more minutes now that head coach Stephen Silas won’t have to manage three similar players in his regular rotations.
