Bust or still developing? Marvin Bagley III

Marvin Bagley III was a highly regarded player coming out of Duke in 2018. The 6 ft 11 power forward has had a decent start to his career. In his first three years in the league, he has averaged 14.5 points, and 7.5 rebounds but injuries have plagued him for most of his career. He has only played 118 games over the 3 years and has struggled to find his role next to De'Aaron Fox.

Bagley has also struggled with the speed of the NBA game, sometimes looking lost on the court. At times though, Bagley has shown flashes of what made him the number one high school recruit.

Bagley made the 1st team All NBA Rookie team in 2019 but as mentioned before injuries have kept him out a large part of his young career. Most of the negativity surrounding Bagley is due to his draft class being otherwordly. If Bagley wasn't selected before Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Michael Porter Jr the narrative would be a lot different. Some might label him a bust, but it's too early to tell.
