The Houston Rockets face the Los Angeles Clippers Monday, November 14, in what will be their fourth home game of the season. Their contest with the Clippers is the final game in a four-game road trip and starts a stretch that will see them play five of their next six games at home.

The Rockets, at 2-11, currently own the worst record in the league, but due to their difficult road-heavy schedule, they have a chance to pick up some wins and move out of the basement. This will be their third game against the Clippers in their opening 14 games. The two sides won’t meet again until January 15th, which will complete the season series.

The Clippers were in the pre-season championship conversation but have sputtered to a 7-6 record. While their record doesn’t appear dire, their wins have largely come against weak competition. They’ve beaten the Rockets and Lakers twice, as well as the Spurs, the Kings, and the Cavaliers. The Spurs, Lakers, and Rockets are all in the bottom five in net rating, the Kings are 18th at +0.1, and the Cavaliers are second in the league at +7.1.

The Clippers will head into the game as favorites but not the overwhelming favorites many would have predicted before the season got underway. The Rockets have been playing better as of late and pushed the Clippers to the brink in their previous two contests. The game tips off at 7:00 central time.
