Week 10 of the 2015-16 season is in the books and with that the new NBA Power Ranking Lists are out, so lets take a look at where the Houston Rockets were ranked.

In Week 10 the Houston Rockets followed up their most impressive Christmas Day victory over the Spurs with an 0-fer week losing consecutive games to the Hawks, Warriors and Spurs. What made it worse was how the Rockets lost.

In their game versus Atlanta, they were leading by 19 points before allowing the Hawks to come all the way back and surrendering the lead late. Golden State was without 2 starters: their MVP Stephen Curry and Harrison Barnes and they also were without key reserves Leandro Barbosa and Festus Ezeli. Finally the revenge match in San Antonio saw the Spurs offense most expected to see on Christmas as they completely dominated the Rockets and made them look far from being ready to contend with them a top the division or conference.

Week 11 the Rockets will play a home and home with the Utah Jazz prior to finishing up Sunday versus the Indiana Pacers.

Here’s the updated NBA Power Ranking Lists of how the pundits rank the Houston Rockets for week ten:

John Schuhmann of nba.com drops the Rockets four spots after their terrible week. Full week 10 list   Notably Schuhmann points to the demise of the Rockets defense which has allowed opponents to shoot 46% from the perimeter during their 4-game losing streak. Worse they allowed teams to score 117 per 100 possessions during the same stretch of games.

Matt Moore of CBS has been one of the Rockets biggest cheer leaders, but even he saw how poorly Houston performed this past week.  After moving the Rockets up six spots last week he drops them by the same margin this week and calls the loss to the depleted Warriors embarrassing.  Complete list.
