Houston Rockets’ Clint Capela selected to participate in BBVA Rising Star Game

Clint Capela learned today he will join his rookie and sophomore counterparts on BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge Game to be held on Friday February 12th.

Last year the Association changed the structure of this game from used to be termed Rookies versus Sophomores. The new format features the USA versus the World  and in the inaugural event the World led by Andrew Wiggins beat team USA.

Here are the two teams:

Based on the breakdown Team USA has 7 second year players  and rookies while the World team has 5 sophomores and 5 rookies and with Mirotec possibly needing to be replaced the potential to add another rookie exists.

The game takes place in Toronto at the Air Canada Center at 9:00 PM ET. For more details on the game visit NBA.com

Friday February 12th – 7 PM ET Celebrity Game,  preceding the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge followed by an Inside the NBA broadcast at 11 PM EST

As for the other big events on the All-Star weekend they are: Saturday February 13th – at 7 PM ET NBA Tip-Off presented by Autotrader followed at 8PM ET with the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night (including the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and the Verizon Slam Dunk). And of course the main event: Sunday February 14th – at 7 PM ET NBA Tip-Off followed at 8:30 by the 2016 NBA All-Star Game
