By Tamberlyn Richardson
Where National Pundits place Houston Rockets on NBA Power Ranking Lists week 18
Week 19 of the 2015-16 season is in the books and with that the new NBA Power Ranking Lists are out, so lets take a look at where the Houston Rockets were ranked.
In Week 19 the Houston Rockets had 4 games featuring the Bucks, Pelicans, Bulls and Raptors with wins versus the Pelicans and a huge comeback win versus the Raptors ending Toronto’s 12 game win streak at the ACC and first loss since January 3rd. Next up the Rockets will play 3 more Eastern squads: Philly, Boston and Charlotte with the latter two offering stiff competition.
Lets see where the pundits rank the Rockets in week 18:
Pundits Lists:
John Schuhmann of nba.com points to Howard’s performance coming close to his Orlando days despite the Rockets record, but still holds them in 19th. With the week they just had expect Schuhmann to raise them in week 20 . Full week 19 list
Matt Moore of CBS For the second week in a row Moore raises the Rockets 2 spots. Complete list.
Marc Stein ESPN Stein points to the hilarity of a Warriors loss to the Lakers while the Rockets actually shot worse from deep in their win over New Orleans. Full List.
Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated was one of the Rockets biggest advocates at season start. Time and again over the weeks he held belief they would resurrect. Now like the other pundits he’s gun shy to raise them too high and in fact has them ranked lower than the other top pundits on the list. His full list is here.

USA Today’s Jeff Sagarin continues to be a great list to keep up with given it records each teams strength of schedule, record against top teams and current performance over the previous weeks. I have to admit after becoming a true advocate of all the analytics of this list I’ve lost a bit of faith in it given he’s kept the Thunder ahead of team’s like Toronto and Boston. Here’s the full list
