NBA Free Agency Tracker: July 6th Update – Rockets add Nene
By Tamberlyn Richardson

NBA Free Agency continues in it’s 6th day of activity and the Houston Rockets rejoined the fray adding their third free agent this summer.
On day 6 of NBA Free agency the Houston Rockets added their third free agent via well traveled Nene Hilario in a 1 year $2.9M deal. He’ll serve as a capable back-up to Clint Capela at center.
Other signings on the day featured:
The big news of the day featured yet another franchise super star who had played his entire career for one organization with Dwyane Wade opting to leave the Heat return home to Chicago on a reportedly 2-years, $47.5M deal. Suffice to say, the rumors of Wade being disenchanted with Riley and his low-ball offer held merit. I called for this move on this week’s podcast.

For the Raptors who’ve historically had issues with the Bulls even when they aren’t winning this signing may have GM Masai Ujiri cringing:
The Cavaliers finally getting their hands wet as they re-upped Richard Jefferson on a 2-year, $5M deal. The humor here was RJ said he was retiring following the Game 7 victory at Oracle, but one parade later and he not only returned, but signed a multi year deal.
With only their second signing of the summer the Suns added yet another returning player (Jared Dudley was the first) in Leandro Barbosa on a 2-year, $8M deal as he exits the Warriors who continue to shed free agents to make cap space for the Durant signing.
Another ex Warrior Brandon Rush agreed to a 1 year $3.5M deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves as they sign their second free agent of the summer (Cole Aldrich was the first).
The Hornets who have also lost several free agents continued to fill their roster by adding Brian Roberts on a 1 year minimum contract as he exits Portland for Charlotte.
Finally the Pelicans added Langston Galloway via a 2-year deal (undisclosed financials)
