NBA Free Agency Tracker: July 9th and 10th Update
By Tamberlyn Richardson

Now that NBA Free Agency is past the ten day mark players are inking deals with the clubs they made agreements with. Once again the Houston Rockets were idle again during these 2 days.
The available crop of top end free agents is dwindling and with Vegas Summer League kicking off this weekend watch for an uptick in trades to start happening.
To that end here’s the list of free agents who made agreements over this two day period:
Since Dwyane Wade moved on Pat Riley was extremely busy this weekend making 5 moves in recent days including the signing of Derrick Williams.
Three more players were recruited and signed:
- Signed Wayne Ellington to 2-years, $12M exits Nets
- Signed forward James Johnson to 1-year, $4M deal exits Raptors
- Signed center Willie Reed to a reported 2-year deal exits Nets
And, while the Heat missed the boat in stepping up to show Dwyane Wade their appreciation for his long service they did reward Udonis Haslem on a reported 1-year, $4M deal.
Regarding Wade having compensated on several occasions for the Heat to have more money for other players ESPN reports Hassan Whiteside was ready to forego $9M of his negotiated contract in the event Riley had delivered on Durant and Wade.
Though the Nets lost 2 assets to the Heat they did sign one of their own in Greivis Vasquez on a 1-year deal (no financials disclosed yet) who exits Bucks
This after both Miami and Portland decided to match the deals the Nets made to the Heat’s Tyler Johnson (4-years, $50M) and the Blazers Allen Crabbe. (4-year, $75M).
In addition, the Blazers also re-signed RFA Meyers Leonard to a reported 4-year, $41M deal.
After the Rockets locked down Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon the Pelicans re-signed guard Tim Frazier to a reported two-year, $4M deal.
Finally the Grizzlies continued their busy off season with a sign and trade deal with Charlotte to nab Troy Daniels on a 3-year, $10M deal.
