According to multiple reports, the Houston Rockets can be a potential destination for an unhappy Wilson Chandler.

The NBA trading deadline is a few days away and the Houston Rockets are starting to get active. According to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com, the Rockets are reportedly interested in acquiring Wilson Chandler from the Denver Nuggets.

Another team to keep an eye on in pursuit of Denver forward Wilson Chandler: Houston.

While averaging 15.6 points, and 6.7 rebounds per game, the veteran forward has had a successful season with the Nuggets. However, the inconsistency of his role with the team has made Chandler front and center among the trade rumors this year.

While Houston has become one of the several teams (Thunder and Clippers) who are in pursuit of Chandler, what can fans expect from this trade?

Perhaps, the Rockets will have to offer Corey Brewer to match the salary of Chandler. But Houston may have to give up one of their most valuable assets. Along with KJ McDaniels, the Nuggets may want to grab fan favorite Sam Dekker as well.

While it would be nice to see the Rockets finally part ways with Brewer and McDaniels, losing Dekker in this trade may not be worth it.

Sure, he has established himself as a solid scorer and defender, but Chandler is not what the Rockets are in need of at the moment. Especially, if Houston plans to keep Trevor Ariza as well. A player whose style of play is highly similar to that of Wilson Chandler.

Heading into the deadline, the Rockets should only have a trade for a potential big man. If not, then it should be in Daryl Morey’s best interest to not make a trade at all.
