Players that struggled
Yes, the Rockets bench played very well, but Eric Gordon struggled in this one. He had just 8 points and 2 assists on 3-12 shooting from the floor. However, the 10-year guard committed just one turnover and had a plus/minus of +15. For a guy averaging just under 21 PPG, it was a subpar performance. We’ll see if Gordon can bounce back on Monday against the Nets.. Shooting Guard. Houston Rockets. ERIC GORDON. D+
Houston Rockets. P.J. TUCKER. D. P.J. Tucker got the nod to start even with the return of Ryan Anderson, but he didn’t play extremely well. He scored just 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds on 1-3 shooting in 28 minutes of play. Tucker did come up with 3 steals, however he struggled to defend Michael Beasley, who scored a season-high 30 points. Tucker also had a plus/minus of just -2. P.J. Tucker is one of those players whose contributions sometimes extend beyond the stat sheet, but that didn’t happen against the Knicks. Tucker isn’t going to drop 20 points a night, but Houston needs more than 2 points from their starting power forward.. Power Forward
